Britney Spears thinks about retiring

When Britney Spears sings "you better work, b***h," it sounds like she might be singing that to herself.

The 32-year-old pop star has had a hectic year -- a new album, "Britney Jean," preparations for her upcoming two-year Las Vegas residency and her everyday role as a mom to two boys.

Spears admitted while promoting E!'s documentary "I Am Britney Jean" that there are times she thinks about not just slowing down but retiring altogether.

"I have thought about it," Spears told E!. "If I happen to have another baby or something like that, I'd probably move back to Louisiana. I do miss Louisiana. I miss the people. I miss the food. I miss the way of life, how everything is really simple."

But retirement remains just an idea rather than a plan. "I think right now is my time to perform and do what I'm doing," she said.

"Britney Jean" has been promoted as her most personal disc yet, and the E! documentary went behind-the-scenes of Spears' life as the singer prepared for Vegas.

Along the way, the pop star offered up revelations on everything from her thoughts on sex (she loves it) to her favorite bubble gum flavor (watermelon) to why she thinks she's not really made for this industry.

"Personally, I'm really a shy person," she said. "I'm particularly not really made for this industry because I am so shy. It's not something that I deal with so well."

Besides the difficulty of being in the public eye, she also insists on perfection when performing -- or as Spears put it in the doc, "Being a perfectionist really sucks."

"It's just a lot of pressure," she explained, but that pressure is also what keeps her going. "I have that motivation in rehearsals to make it the best every time. That's why I do what I do."

Mariah Carey: I'm Not Having Any More Kids (Unless Nick Cannon Can Get Pregnant)

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon may love being parents to twins Monroe and Morocco, but they don't plan on adding any more tiny tots into the family.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the superstar singer was asked by a fan caller whether or not the super-in-love couple was planning to expand their brood, and surprisingly, Carey is not up for it.

Well, unless her beau is the one that can deal with the pregnancy part of it.

"If Nick could have the babies himself, then yeah, bring 'em on. We love kids," Carey joked. "Here's the thing: This is real. I'm responsible for the kids for like forever. I look at it like, they didn't ask for this lifestyle but here they are."

Furthermore, the star shared that she had to suffer some health problems during her pregnancy, including preeclampsia and gestational diabetes, and doesn't want to go through that again.

"To anyone who has ever carried twins, it is a totally different experience...You don't even know who you are," Carey said. "I had a very difficult pregnancy, but I was alone most of the time. We love Nick, but he's working. He's the hardest-working man in show business."

But when Cannon is at home, he makes sure to have some fun with the kiddos.

"When mom's home, we don't get to roll around on the furniture as much as we would like to," he had told E! News. "When she's not there, we're all over the place, jumping on the couch and the bed."

Cannon added, "The things that make me smile when it comes to my children are…just hearing them talk. They're little people now, they're opinionated and they sit around and just come up and say, 'Dad, I'm so happy.'"

"Just to hear them say, 'I love you'…brings little tears to your eyes," he said. "Smiles and tears, that's what it's all about."

Jimmy Fallon, Justin Timberlake deliver hilarious star-studded 'Saturday Night Live' episode to end the year, includes Madonna

The duo brought on the laughs with a celebrity guest lineup that also included Paul McCartney, Barry Gibb and Mayor Bloomberg.

"Saturday Night Live" ended the year with a bang and a whole lot of laughter with Jimmy Fallon hosting, and Justin Timberlake as co-host and musical guest.

The hilarious episode included some of the year's funniest skits, as well as a star-studded lineup of celebrity guests.

Fallon's opening monologue was supposed to be an act with the late-night talk show host's musical idols David Bowie, Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney, but it began with him on stage alone.

"Unfortunately they can't be here," he explained to the audience. "Traffic is tough at this time of year and all of them are currently stuck in the Lincoln Tunnel."

But because "the show must go on," Fallon started strumming his guitar and singing "Joy to the World," with impersonations of Dylan, Bowie and McCartney. Before he could finish, the former Beatles singer arrived to help him with the musical performance.

"Paul, I thought you were stuck in traffic?" Fallon asked.

"I was, but then I took a Citi Bike," McCartney explained.

The men sang "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" to the approval of a roaring audience.

The sketch comedy show also included a funny skit with Fallon and Timberlake dressed as Christmas presents while performing a rap medley about wrapping gifts.

Another offered a role reversal as Timberlake impersonated Fallon, who was a guest on celebrity "Family Feud" with the NBC team competing against CBS. Fallon played "Big Bang Theory's" Jim Parsons on the CBS side.
Jimmy Fallon raps a verse in ‘(Do It on My) Twin Bed’ on ‘Saturday Night Live.’
"So great, so great," Timberlake repeatedly said in an attempt to portray the next host of the "Tonight Show."

The funny pair hosted a segment of the "Barry Gibb Talk Show," which included Madonna as a guest who spoke about unity among politicians before putting her blinged-out grill on her teeth. It was the first time bringing back the skit since Robin Gibb's passing in 2012.

As the duo ended the sketch with a song, they were surprised by Barry Gibb himself who joined them for the tune.

One of the funniest musical performances of the evening was the song "(Do It On My) Twin Bed." The ladies of "SNL" belted out the ballad about sleeping with their boyfriend in their childhood bedroom while visiting their parents over the holidays.

Fallon had a rap in the song that included lyrics like: "Girl you know I love you but let's be clear / I've got lots of trouble getting horny here."

Other highlights included New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg joining Fallon and Seth Meyers for an episode of "Weekend Update" and when Timberlake lit up the stage with his laser light show performance of "Only When I Walk Away."

Michael or LeBron??

In lieu of LeBron's recent M.V.P award, I decided to have a look back at history and hopefully get a little closer to the debate of Michael Jordan vs LeBron James. Soon after deciding to write this, I decided it was impossible and as it is very much subjective, we can never know but I hope to shed a little light on the debate and maybe help you with making up your mind and also (as most of the readers are chicago-based) have a few stats to throw at people when they claim LeBron as "The King"
We may need to break it down further than simply winning, which in reality is all that matters because as it stands, LeBron is nowhere near Michael. Michael Jordan is a 6 time NBA Champion and LeBron only has one with possibly another one this year. He had zero in Cleveland and there has been a lot made of his move to Miami. He decided to join the best as opposed to Michael Jordan's ethos of wanting to beat the best. They built teams around Michael Jordan and he won titles. LeBron had to get out of Cleveland despite their best efforts to bring a title to the trophy starved town!
There is also a lot to be said about the fact that Michael Jordan played until he was 40. 2003 was his last season with Washington and to be realistic, it almost seems impossible that LeBron will replicate this feat.
Far from it being all Michael Jordan, the fact that LeBron was NBA ready by the time he left high school says a lot about the man. Reading his records titled "Youngest Player records" was tiring, akin to reading a very large novel almost. He was the youngest ever player to be drafted number 1 overall (18). He is the youngest player to win rookie of the year (19). Youngest player to score 40 points in a game (19). You can pretty much add every record you can think of to this. When I say he was NBA ready at 18. I mean he was number 1 pick ready. Also, he is the youngest player to win 4 MVP's which is vital to the argument. He has a three year head start on Michael but Michael was 33 by the time he had 4 MVP's. With LeBron showing no signs of tiring, will he be able to replicate or even better Michael's record of 5 MVP's? Only time will tell and with the game of basketball speeding up and with such exertion being placed on the body every year, LeBron will have to prove the doubters wrong. And there are many.
Michael Jordan
As I said earlier, winning is everything when it comes down to it and so far, Michael has him beat hands down. 6 to 1? And let's not forget that although Michael played until he was 40. Most of his damage and was pretty much done by the time he was 35. The last few years almost seemed like a personal challenge for Michael and to prove all the people who said he couldn't do it wrong.
Now that we have settled the winning aspect of it. Let's look at the other side of the coin. The charisma, excitement, mystique surrounding the players. Having moved to Chicago a few years after Michael retired, there are still stories being told as you read this of Michael's feats. The one where he closed his eyes and nailed a free throw just before he whispered to John Stockton "Welcome to the Pros". So charisma wise, the buck stops at Michael Jordan. His Hall of Fame speech speaks for itself. (If you haven't seen it, I recommend you head on over to YouTube now and watch it. I've even linked it for you!!) He was a winner. He hated losing, hated it with such a passion that he based his whole speech upon all the people that told him he was a loser. He never forgave them. The respect that LeBron has for MJ is so strong that he changed his jersey number in hope that the NBA would retire Jordan's number. Both names speak for themselves and all over the world, both names are household ones. LeBron has turned the NBA into his playground, just like Michael did but LeBron is doing it now in an era of silly money. In today's world of advertising and endorsements. Lebron's nickname is "King James" and right now he is the King, but if they were to ever match up? I'm guessing most watched sporting event ever?!
"King James"
I like to write as I speak and write as I think and I just got a huge headache even thinking about trying to solve this. It comes down to where you ask the question, ask them in Bulls-crazed Chicago and the answer is unanimous. Ask the same question in Miami or anyone that hates the Bulls and indeed Michael and your answer is also unanimous. For me, it is and always will be Michael but for you? Have a think about it but don't try and solve it on your own. You might end up with a migraine.
To soothe it, have a look at this.... It's a floating Michael Jordan!
Michael
