‘I have amazing sexual chemistry in my life too!’: Simon Cowell compares his love life to X Factor contestants Alex and Sierra's

Simon Cowell has been indulging in some serious public displays of affection with his pregnant lover Lauren Silverman lately.

And it seems he cannot stop talking about the relationship either, as the father-to-be compared his off-screen sexual chemistry with that of his contestants On Tuesday’s live X Factor auditions.

The besotted Florida lovers Alex and Sierra have charmed the audience with each audition and told the world they ‘couldn’t live without’ each other.
Loving it: Simon Cowell complimented the sexual chemistry of Alex and Sierra on The X Factor USA on Tuesday
But after the smitten duo did a down tempo, acoustic version of Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke Kelly Rowland said she thought it needed more ‘sex appeal’ -  and Cowell violently disagreed.

‘Absolute rubbish…I can feel their sexual chemistry from here,’ barked the music mogul, 54.

‘So much sexual chemistry…and I have that in my life as well,’ he mused, smiling broadly.

‘My grandmother is watching this show,’ joked the contestant nervously.

The other judges agreed with the One Direction creator.

‘Sonny and Cher are back!’ exclaimed Mexican megastar Paulina Rubio, 42.
Surprise hits: Music fans may be a little shocked to discover they were so popular among the judges

Chemistry: But it seems a little premature to be branding the workmanlike duo the new Sony and Cher
Handing it to them: Randy Simon showed his appreciation for the sizzling Florida musical duo
PDA: Simon and partner Lauren Silverman were very touchy-feely in Beverly Hills at the weekend
The smoochy duet was part of the live auditions round in the show – where one act had to be eradicated from each category.

Identifying with their sexual magnetism Cowell kept Alex and Sierra in the running but removed trio of sisters Roxxy Montana.

He also saved hunky 18-18 year-old boyband Restless Road who brought Katy Perry’s hit Roar down a few octaves.

Standing to clap the A&R kingpin looked ecstatic to hear the teenagers sing.

‘I am gonna be at the front of all the restless Roads concerts screaming ‘pick me pick me’,’ joked Rowland, 32, who has had a soft spot for the lads since the beginning.

Cowell also kept girl group Sweet Suspense, who dressed in skimpy neon for Icona Pop’s impudent hit I Love It (I Don't Care)
Get those Roxx off: Sisters Roxxy Montana were given the chop by a far from impressed Cowell
Road to nowhere? It is hard to imagine Simon's picks Restless Road adorning girls walls just yet
Tasting success: Sweet Suspense managed to make it through despite hitting a few sour notes
‘Now that is what I call pop group,’ said the London-born multi millionaire who brought the groups to his lavish home for ‘English tea’ before the show.

One of Lovato’s girls had to go home too – but not 17-year-old Ellona Santiago who kicked off the night with a bang.

Dressed in high-waisted hot pants the student did an energetic version of the Britney Spears hit Till The World Ends.

‘That was so magical,’ said Rowland who praised the California girl’s dancing as well as singing abilities.

‘You are here to win it, not just take part in a silly competition,’ said Cowell, who ironically was the one who invented the ‘silly competition’.

Bespectacled ‘nerd’ of the X Factor Danie Geimer attempted Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus - a weak performance that got her eliminated.
Criticism: Simon and his motley crew dished out plenty of advice and criticism on the night

Latina lovelies: Demi Lovato was delighted to help her protege Ellona Santiago through to the next week

‘I feel like I was expecting more from you,’ said Rowland while Cowell mused about how to make the girl ‘less boring.’

‘I know you like test tubes and all that,’ he said.

‘But it’s more than a voice. I’m not sure you have the X Factor.’

Lovato wasn’t impressed either: ‘Your stage energy was low,’ she told the 16-year-old Californian.

Rion Paige, who suffers from a condition called AMC which freezes her wrists and hands, has been charming judges and audiences since day one.

The lovable 13-year-old sang Skyscraper - a song written by Toby Gad for Demi Lovato.

‘You really are a special person and I really hope you stay in this competition,’ said Cowell while Lovato applauded the ‘emotion’ the schoolgirl put into the performance.
Dull: Danie Geimer managed to make Miley Cyrus's hit Wrecking Ball a little on the boring side
Have Mercy: New Yorker Khaya Cohen did not do Duffy proud with her pedestrian cover of her hit
Gurn-believable: And she pulled a face as she was chastised for her lackluster display by mentor Demi
New Yorker Khaya Cohen gave a sassy rendition of Duffy’s heartbreak record Mercy.

‘You are one of my favourite contestants,’ Rowland told the 15-year-old student.

Thinking in monetary terms as customary Cowell told the girl she has the ‘most commercial’ voice in the competition but he wondered if people would like her.

‘Do you like animals? Just lie…’ he said, alluding to the fact that Khaya is yet to show her softer side.

‘I feel like you have a wall up in front of you,’ he added while Lovato agreed that the performance was a little stiff.

La Chica Dorada Paulina Rubio was then forced to send one of her ‘wonderful boys’ home.

First on the chopping block was the youngest boy in the running, Josh Levi, 15.

After singing Rihanna’s Only One (in the world) Lovato wasn’t convinced about the song choice.

‘There is so much potential though,’ she said while Cowell gave it ‘six out of ten.’

Nice move jean-ius: Josh Levi left Paulina Rubio with no choice but to send him home after a poor performance of Rihanna’s Only One (in the world)

X marks the spot: But there was a scarcity of treasure to be found on this particular marking
‘I believe in your vocals and your talent, maybe it wasn’t the right song choice, but you can sing and you can dance,’ said Rubio, who reluctantly eliminated him at the end.

Chronically shy Carlos Guevara has been a loveable underdog since the beginning because of his Tourette’s syndrome.

The 16-year-old gave a growly version of Don't You Worry Child, by Swedish House Mafia.

‘I can tell you’ve been practicing,’ Rowland told the student, from Lexington, South Carolina.

‘I felt real emotion here. I completely bought it,’ said Cowell.

Latin lover Carlito Olivero wooed the ladies in the crowd with Maria, Maria by Santiago.

‘I love the Latino aspect,’ gushed Lovato while Rubio said the performance made her ‘sweat’.

‘That’s what music is all about,’ she exalted.

Cowell noted that the ‘chicks will love’ the attractive 24-year-old - who hopes to make money to support his mother.
Breaking the curse: There were no outbursts as Carlos Guevara delivered a note perfect performance
Carlito's way: Latin lover Olivero was not afraid to dice with fashion disaster by donning this flamboyant neckerchief
‘I have a record lable and of all the acts you are the one I’d sign right now…absolutely fantastic,’ he told the coffee shop worker who lives in Los Angeles.

He may not have the pop star looks of Carlito Olivero but Tim Olstad, 24, a server from Minnesota, gave a competent version of Bon Jovi’s Always.

Rowland loved it but Cowell said it was like watching ‘a funeral director sing.’

‘When I look at you I can’t get excited,’ he said.

Lovato wasn’t impressed with the performance either.

‘The energy level went right down,’ she said.
Heavyweight: Tim Olstad gave a surprisingly competent performance of Bon Jovi's Always
Kelly Rowland made her ‘old fogies’ group (over 25s) meet her in the gym for training.

Impossibly youthful Lillie McCloud, 54, brought the house down with the Percy Sledge track When a Man Loves a Woman.

‘You are one heck of a singer but for the first time I have a but…I think you have to lose the theatrics,’ remarked Cowell, who thought it was ‘a little dated.’

Rowland and the other girls didn’t concur.

‘You’re the hottest grandmother I’ve ever seen,’ host Mario Lopez told the diva, from Orlando, Florida.
Going with the fro: Lillie McCloud's massive voice was almost a match for her brilliantly big barnet
Unstoppable: Lillie's soul train was at full steam ahead as she ploughed through Percy Sledge's When a Man Loves a Woman
Silver tongue: Mario Lopez told her she was 'the hottest grandmother I¿ve ever seen'
Jeff Gutt, a struggling musician from Detroit, sang the Pink rock anthem Try.

The 37-year-old, an X factor reject from a previous season, is impressing the judges more this time.

‘Bloody brilliant, all American,’ Cowell told the single father.

Powerhouse bartender Rachel Potter hit some difficult notes in Lee Ann Womack’s country track I Hope You Dance.

Rubio loved the ‘tone’ from the 28-year-old from Nashville, Tennessee.

‘You were horrible last week…but this was fantastic,’ said Cowell.
Gutt-ed: Previous series reject Jeff managed to make it through despite a forgetful performance
Confident: things were looking good for James Kenney as he looked and sounded like a professional
Dressed smartly in a waistcoat and dress shirt James Kenny looked and sounded like a saleable musician.

The Apartment Manager, from Portland, gave a proficient version of Daniel Merriweather’s Red.

All the judges liked the 36-year-old’s show - but Cowell said that Jeff marginally had the upper hand between the men.

Rowland agreed and sent the likeable singer home to Oregon.
I Kenney believe it: But he was left stunned after Simon persuaded Kelly he had underperformed

Puppet master: Svengali Simon made up Kelly's mind for her when he said he preferred Jeff to James
