Kelly Rowland happy to be engaged

Kelly Rowland is “very happy” after getting engaged.

The ‘X Factor’ USA judge sparked speculation she was set to tie the knot with boyfriend and manager Tim Witherspoon earlier this month after she was pictured flashing a ring on her wedding finger during an Instagram video message, and friends have now confirmed the happy news but say the 32-year-old beauty still isn’t ready to make a public announcement.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: “She has been showing [the ring] off to friends and family and is very happy.

“She wants to … enjoy [it] and celebrate for a bit longer.”

It was also recently claimed the couple – who have been dating for around four years – recently had matching tattoos on their wedding fingers, which sparked speculation that they could be planning to get married very soon.

Though this will be Kelly’s first marriage, she has been engaged before.

The former Destiny’s Child star was previously planning to marry footballer Roy Williams but they split in January 2005, just two months before they were due to tie the knot, and Kelly later said she had felt too young to get married.

She said: “I was too young for marriage. But sometimes you fall down and you learn from it.”

He put a ring on it! Kelly Rowland has finally confirmed that she's engaged to her manager, Tim Witherspoon. 

"The X Factor" judge, real name Kelendria Rowland, publicly let the cat out of the bag during a pretaped segment of "The Queen Latifah Show" that's to air Wednesday.

"He put a ring on it," the Destiny's Child alum said, showing off her colossal cushion-cut ring to the studio audience and quoting Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)."

"It's been a while," the 32-year-old added. "We've kept it very, very low -- for years, to be completely honest."

As for the proposal, well, Rowland admits that she's succumbed to the ways of technology and conveniences of long-distance relationships.

  

"He asked me first on Skype, and I was like, 'We're so far away from each other!'" she said. 

The "Dirty Laundry" singer added that she was "somewhere in Bulgaria" at the time and that Witherspoon popped the question during a late-night video-chatting session.

"But it was so late. I remember we were both honestly just staring at each other and he asked me," she said. "And it was that simple to say yes. I have my best friend to ride through life with."

No "Dilemma" about that! 

It'll be the first marriage for Rowland, who was previously engaged to football player Roy Williams. The pair split in 2005 just months before their wedding.
